Paypal returning to online gambling

Is PayPal returning to the online gambling world? According to many casino affiliate portals PayPal are back but only with 2 companies first.

According to Ladbrokes players in europe and United Kingdom can use PayPal as a means to deposit and withdraw. Users at 32Red can also make deposits and withdrawals with the large ewallet that used to take gambling transactions regularly until 2002. Livechat agents at both companies were able to confirm that PayPal is accepted for depositing and withdrawing with the logos cleared displayed in their banking sections. When PayPal left the market back in 2002 it was estimated that 15% of their revenue came from gambling and was growing.

PayPal probably left the market sooner than expected thanks in part to an agressive Elliot Spitzer whom went after the company with fines of $24 million and caused PayPal to leave the New York State market. Shortly after that PayPal decided to leave the market and essentially handed it over to Neteller.

Other rumors are that Party Gaming will return to the US markets and perhaps PayPal won’t be far behind. Good news for players and affiliates alike.
